Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) –  التحكيم البديل / فضّ النزاع خارج المحكمة 
Methods such as mediation or arbitration used to resolve disputes without formal litigation.
 

Affidavit – إقرار خطي
A sworn written statement used as evidence. 
 

Appeal – استئناف 
A request to a higher court to review a lower court’s decision.

Bail – كفالة / إطلاق سراح بكفالة
Release from custody pending trial upon a financial guarantee. 
 

Brief – مذكرة قانونية
A written argument submitted to a court explaining a party’s position.

Civil Litigation – التقاضي المدني
Court proceedings between private parties (individuals or companies)
 

Contract – عقد
A legally binding agreement between parties.
 

Corporate Law – قانون الشركات / القانون التجاري
Area of law governing business entities.

Damages – تعويضات
Money awarded to compensate loss or injury. 
 

Defendant –  المدعى عليه
The party against whom a claim is brought.

Evidence – دليل / إثبات 
Information presented in court to support facts.

Family Law – قانون الأسرة
Legal area covering marriage, divorce, custody, and support. 
 

Fraud – احتيال / غشّ
Intentional deception for gain or to harm another.

Governing Law – القانون السائد / القانون الواجب التطبيق
The legal system or laws used to interpret a contract or resolve a dispute.

Injunction – أمر قضائي / إنذار قضائي
A court order to do or stop doing something. 
 

Intellectual Property – الملكية الفكرية
Rights protecting creative works (e.g., trademarks, patents).

Litigation – التقاضي
The process of resolving disputes in court. 
 

Liability – مسؤولية قانونية / التزام قانوني
Legal responsibility for one’s acts or omissions.
